This would be a sad week for majority of UBER Manila partners having a car 2011 and below. UBER Manila is now deactivating partners having a car with a year model 2011 and below. It started last thursday Sept 3, 2015 at exactly 12 noon UBER started deactivating partners as a requirement of LTFRB.

LTFRB demands that 2012 and newer cars can only be subjected for approval for a TNVS (Transport Network Vehicle Service) for TNC (Transport Network Company) such as UBER and GrabCar, by doing so we lost about 80% of the partners who's activley doing ridesharing for UBER Manila.

Alot of hatred post to LTFRB on facebook began last friday and stating for a fair play regarding the accreditation as majority of the partners having a car below the required model as stated by the LTFRB while some of the Taxi/Cab and Buses are not worthy for safety public transportation. Some cabs are having a 98 year model but still can be clearly seen in the road, most of them having poor aesthetic, you might find them odd or you could question if it is really safe.

Some buses do also smoke velching and you might find them questionable if they are also safe to be ridden by the public. Those are the raised question by some of UBER Manila partners being deprived to do ridesharing business as they stated that their car is far more reliable and safe as it was private maintained in casas. So where is the fair play for that?

You might find it questionable too, but the thing is UBER cannot do or disobey the LTFRB they are following the process as what LTFRB is demanding for TNC's. It is just sad to see those who dedicate their time to lift the ridesharing business here in the Philippines as some of them resigned on their previous jobs to be a full time ride share drivers. They were the one who marked the spot that provided commuters a great and far more safe alternative transportation than cab's and buses.

What do you think? Is LTFRB doing a great job regulating the ridesharing transportation? Do provide your feedbacks on the comment below.
