Hi guys this article is intended for aspiring UBER partners here in Manila, and maybe some co-partners who really doesn't have an idea about this business.

Let me ask you, why did you join UBER? 

If you are going to ask me the same question, i would say, i find this new technology awesome and profitable, before i began my venture here and became a partner I used to be a rider. Yes you heard me right, i am also a rider, i was there when there's no classification like UBER X and UBER Black. I was clueless at that time, i just got this invite and tried it and of course I became a regular for the convenience and safety than riding a cab.

That was my first insight and researched about UBER, it took me a year before finally trying to be a partner. 

Of course i could say i am also here because of the profit, no one would say that they joined for charity. But let me remind you guys that we are here for the service, our clients/riders are enjoying our service because of the convenience and safety. I really do hope that every one of us would also be thinking about our clients as without them UBER won't be successful here in the Philippines and we won't have an extra income

We can always think about the profit but we must first think about our clients. The more clients we satisfy with our service the more rider base or clients we could have. 

Sad to say there are partners that only thinks about profit and forgot about services. Earlier i have 5 passengers that have an awful experience from other partners. They are now comparing uber like a cab, they just ride UBER because it is much more cheaper, but the service as for them is similar to cab. I know 5 isn't enough number, but imagine if they already experience it, more and more will experience it too. 

Those partners are currently deteriorating the good service that old partners have done to make this business a success. Honestly it will affect us all soon if this can't be controlled. I know that there's a rating system, but what it can do if the riders already have a bad experience. Most likely it will spread like a wildfire. 

Other partners would definitely disagree with me and will say that "there's a rating system, they can always rate the partners doing crappy things with a one star rating" that's not the point, the point is our customers/clients can be affected or our rider base can be affected. Have you guys heard about "first, second, and third impression last?" Yes this is true, even though if a rider experience the best service on his/her first uber ride, if he/she experienced a bad thing on his/her second ride or third ride, they'll definitely say my first uber experience were perfect but now, i think the service isn't good anymore or the service is getting crappy. 

Just imagine how it can affect the business in the long run. So before starting or joining UBER think about the service you can provide. It is always best that you provide a great service and you'll earn at the same time. 

UBER is great for EXTRA Income

I am not discouraging you, but honestly i want to help you out. If you are going to rely in UBER as your primary source of income. I am telling you now, you're going to experience hell on this business. 

Yes there are success stories for a Full Time partners but i am 100% sure that they own their cars 100% before joining UBER. If you are going to buy a bnew car with a high monthly amortization and you'll just rely for UBER to pay it off, please think again. I don't want to see another person being on the blunt side, having their cars being pulled by the bank because they can't sustain the monthly amortization. 

This is a true story! Again i am not discouraging you, but there are many partners who already have experienced this. Being in UBER is like a roller coaster ride. Sometimes the income is great, and sometimes it is low. Just think about this, what if there's no incentives, do you think you can pay your car without it?

There are many partners who rushed on joining UBER because they think it is lucrative. It is though, but with a proper business plans. But many of them just joined because a driver told them that they can earn 120k a month because of UBER, this is true before, but now, the incentives are declining. As i have said earlier, this is a roller coaster ride.

My honest point of view, you can buy a bnew car and join uber, and you'll still earn IF you are also going to be the driver, but if you'll just hire a driver, then sad to say, you'll soon seeing your car being taken by the bank.

In my case i have 2 businesses that can sustain my family and even my car's monthly amortization if ever UBER fails me. Yes you should have a back up plan, there's a saying in the business world that you shouldn't put your eggs on one basket as if that basket fails, then you'll loose all your egg that goes to your investment, make sure that you have a backup plan so you won't loose all your investment. 

If you want to have another investment, join my network marketing team (hahaha joke) kidding aside, this is business and you should have a decent business plan to succeed in UBER.

Everyone in UBER is a competition

There's no other nice way to put it. But honestly yes, everyone in uber is your competition. As i have said above, you should have a decent business plan to succeed in UBER. Even if i share some tips here and to my referrals, i always have 10 steps ahead. I am not worried even if i share my tips to others, I intend to help but as always this is a business and you must be ahead with others. If not, then you'll end up wasting your investment. 

Stay away with Social Media

It is connected as what i have stated above, all of us is your competition. There might be some people who is willing to help you, but 99% are just there to destroy your concentration. 99% will pour negativity with you so that they can be ahead. Don't believe me? Then try  joining groups regarding UBER manila, and you'll see for yourself. A good example would be the Aug 20th deadline, if you're a part of a group regarding UBER Manila, then you'll definitely read alot of apprehension post on which isn't true. 

1% will genuinely help you, but chances are, you'll experience your ups and downs first before you can find one. If ever you are here then good for you. You're reading some of the 1 percenter.

I am receiving alot of email after the news came out this evening about DOTC's deadline for UBER. Yes i could say it's alarming if i just recently joined UBER but honestly guys don't fret. No one can apprehend UBER partners and here is why.

- UBER is currently working things out so i suggest that you guys need to ready the following documents

A. DTI Registration ( Name should be related to transportation and you need to register it as regional).
B. Police Clearance for Drivers
C. TNVS form ( you need this and also need to notarize the form)

Again there are rumors going around the social media especially facebook that there are fiasco of surprise apprehension. Guys this ain't true. So don't be scared on the road, as long as you ready your documents UBER will help us out.

If you remember the story of the fortuner, way back 2014. When the fortuner got apprehended, UBER did pay for the monthlly amortization of the car + sallary and ofcourse the needed legal action. In short the Fortuner was released and on the road again.

We are far better than cabs and our service is far more best than any public transportation, so just keep yourself together. Don't worry as before the 20th UBER will be accredited as what they have said on the office.

While waiting for it just go on the road and do what you always do, provide a better service and earn.

We are always on the road and some of us are doing this for their livelihood. How can a dash camera can protect you? 

Did you know that having a dash camera can protect you in a lot of situation? Buying one is optional and some of you might think that having one isn't necessary, well that's your opinion, but in a transportation business, having one can save you a lot of trouble in the future. 

How can a dash camera can protect you?

Since we are always on the road, there are always this corrupt traffic enforcers that will signal you for a violation, even though you haven't done anything wrong, he will still force what he thinks that you still did. Without any proof that you didn't commit any violation, it's an easy money for those dbag.

Dash camera can also protect us inside our vehicles as well, we wouldn't know if one of our passengers do something recklessly that can threaten our lives (so far i hope this won't happen). Some passengers do act arrogantly and might signal your driving career. I'll tell that personal experience later.

Dash camera can also help us in accidents, it can help officers to determine that you didn't commit any violation prior to the accident. Actually it save me a lot of trouble.

My Experience with the dash camera i bought a few weeks ago

How many of us here experienced a dbag traffic officer that will pull you over to the side and stating that you commit a violation? Well it happened to me a lot, especially in Lacson avenue in Espana Manila and in Meralco avenue in Ortigas. 

i have my fair share with those dbag traffic enforces, in Espana, turning left to Lacson. I went on ahead turning left while it was still green. When i was in the middle, it turned yellow and this officer pulled me over and saying i beat the red light and he was going to enforce the traffic law and will be handing me a ticket. I know in my self that i didn't commit any violation, but this dbag enforcer is still insisting it and raising his voice and telling me that i shouldn't have got a license if i don't know the traffic laws in the Philippines. I have a passenger then by that time, but i excused my self and still try to talk to the enforcer, when he wrote me a ticket, i finally told him that i have a dash camera and we can watch it to make it sure. Upon watching the video (on which i haven't uploaded yet) it can be clearly seen that i turned left while it was green. So to cut the story short, the enforcer is grumpy that he already wrote a ticket but since i didn't commit any violation, i told him that he is not doing his job right. I called the governing commander with the help of my contacts and reported the incident, and yes he got suspended and it just suit him right.

Imagine if i didn't have a dash camera to prove that i didn't commit any violations, the enforcer will still insist that i did. It would cost me a violation fee and of course i will loose my valuable time, just to go to the city hall, fall in line for a few hours to get my drivers license.

I have heard a lot of horrors by enforcers so i bought my self a dash camera and it did get handy. Some of my friends are being fined in BGC for illegal parking even though they are just waiting for a few minutes for their rider to come down. Illegal parking means you'll be leaving your car and parking it on an non parkable or non parking area on which if you didn't leave your car, it can't be condone as an illegal parking. Well you can outwit those dbag officer if you have a dash camera to prove that you didn't leave a car, even worse for them if they already wrote a ticket as i know if they wrote it and if they are deemed irresponsible for writing one for a clear case they are the one who will pay it and also they can be suspended on their duty.

Payback isn't it? It is time for those dbag to learn their lesson in the hardway, they can't pick pocket us anymore if only we have evidence.

Also i have an experience with an arrogant passenger (on which i wouldn't post anymore since it is not proper for me to post it, but i hope he learned his lesson), he accused me of many BS tactics, on which he even emailed and reported me to UBER. The passenger didn't know that i have a dashcamera, uber emailed me about the incident, and to my surprise they are going to suspend my account, as it says that i have violated a rule which is about passenger safety. But in the whole time i was very silent on that trip, he is yelling and cursing, what i only did was took a wrong turn as i am following waze on which he (the passenger) have said to just follow waze, and that time he was saying he was going to be late and i was so stupid for taking that turn. To make the story short, i emailed uber containing my dash camera video from the start of the trip, and till the passenger left off. Confirming that i didn't violate any of their rule, my account was reinstated and they have said that they are praising me for handling the situation very professional, i told my self that time what if, i didn't have that dashcam, then my account would be suspended because of an arrogant rider? 

I was really pissed the way UBER handled that situation, they didn't investigate, and they suspend my account because of just one arrogant rider, and they only reinstated it when i showed them evidence that i didn't do any of what the rider had said. Yes uber cares about the riders but not their partners, i can say they are one sided, but i can't argue, because of UBER i have another opportunity to earn, besides if i complain or argue what will i gain? Nothing, i can freely quit as what others say, but not yet, i still want to accomplish many feats in the ridesharing business.

Anyways because of those incidents, it is really helpful to have a dash cam on your car, it might cost a few thousand now, but what if, you haven't got one and you experience something like this and cannot provide evidence that you didn't violate anything? How much time would you loose? How much income do you think would be gone? It is better to invest to something that can protect you on this line of business.

About the location:

It has a great prime location about 3 condominiums, there are alot of students hanging out in here even around 10pm, most of them do use uber. I have met some here and they are somewhat a regular rider. When i rest and they want to go home if i am there, they'll ask me out. Since they are just near this place, it is an easy short ride.

Hi this topic is mainly for existing partners and aspiring uber partners here in UBER Manila. I'll be discussing how i build my driving strategies in order to boost up my uber profit and getting the same results even if i drive less than 8 hours a day.

This article will help you create your own strategies on the road and of course i won't be discussing my current strategies, this will just be a guide so you could create your own and i do hope for the best for you guys.

How can you properly create a strategy for UBER Manila?

There are many things to consider but i want to point the most important part of creating a strategy. You should take alot of consideration about your preferred time? Would it be flexible or would it be a regular frame?

When you say flexible, you are driving on a time of a day only and will differ on the nexy day and so on, while a regular frame are sort of like a cab which have a time frame (e.g. 6am to 9pm / 6 days a week). Once you give it a consideration you can properly build a driving strategy for your time frame.

Creating a strategy can't be build or will work in an instant, you should know that you should invest on time since you need it for trial and error till you perfected it. Strategies don't work over night so if your primary source of income is UBER well honestly you can't risk your investment to do experimentation. In my case since i am not relying on UBER as my primary source of income, i don't care if my experimentation will fail or not, i just focus on makig it work, i'll explain the details later. 

What are the things you might need!

1. Notebook - well so old school right? this will be used to track your progress. You could use other techy stuff or other means to write down, but i highly suggest the classic. 

2. Post it notes and board - old school again right? Anyways this is for your to do list. Another way to track your progress. I feel doing the antics and classic will boost your morale on pursuing your strategy as in some point you'll feel frustrated, but these things will knock some sense out of you.

3. Enough rest - you might be laughing right now, and would say that this article is BS but you'll understand this sooner once you start building strategies on your own. You need a relaxing feel and enough rest to start a strategy, you must be clearly out of frustration and fatigue in order to think outside of the box and walk through around the problem you'll encounter in the long run. You'll get alot of idea that could materialize and contribute on the success of your strategy when you are well rested before starting out.

Now that i pointed the things you need, we will start on how to build.

Write down your goals - as for me, my goal is to drive less but still get the same result just like driving 15hrs a day.

Think out of the box - list the problem and find a solution. 

Execute the solution - now that you have written the solution, you should execute it. It may not work instantly, but in a business point of view, if there is a slight change then it is working.

This might be a simple concept, but having a strategy on pursuing your goals is really important. In a business, if you haven't got a business plan or strategy, you are wandering to oblivion. But by having one, you are directed to a blooming business.

You see driving just for a sallary is great, but having a strategy can double or triple the income. Imaging working for 6-8 hrs and still getting the same results as 15hrs then jusy think that you have an extra 7-9 hrs of extra driving? Would it be great?
