Uber Manila will increase its service fee from 20% to 25% on March 14
4:30 PM
This just came in, Uber had announced that vehicle registered from March 14 onwards will be paying Uber 25% service fee instead of 20% from the usual start of Uber here in Manila.
It’s really a bad news as we all know that it’s a little harder to earn nowadays in Uber and partners who have registered their vehicle from March 14, 2016, onwards will be paying much higher than the old partners who have registered on March 14, 2016.
We really didn't expect that the service fee will increase here in Manila just like in other cities in the USA. But business is business, we just do hope that Uber Philippines will have an announcement for this on why did they increase the service fee.
From one of the partners thoughts, 20% is a bit high to begin with and increasing it to 25% is absolutely crazy. We are earning pennies compare to other cities and yet Uber still increased their fee to its partners. We are the one who pays for the maintenance and gasoline, 25% is too much.
As of the moment, we are still waiting for Uber Representative’s comment about this increase on what are their basis to raise their service fee. Although one thing we know is that partner who has registered on March 14, 2016, are still being charged with 20% as long as the partner had submitted the documents for the TNVS/PA/CPC before March 30, 2016.
What are your thoughts about this? Please do let us know in the comment section below.

25% is too much!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor example your quota for the week is 12k less uber service fee of 25% = to 3000 compare to 20% rate = to 2400 the difference is 600 for 4weeks equals to 2400/month increase from 25% plus no more incentives! No to increase!!!!
