We have been silent for the couple of weeks regarding a lot of issues with LTFRB. We know that we can somehow influence partners with this blog. We know that Uber Manila is doing what it can regarding the problems with LTFRB but somehow those who hate the system always finding ways to put down Uber for good.
About the Surge issue:
We thought voicing out to add a cash payment to the system will help a lot of partners but it seems to backed fired. When uber started accepting cash payments the quality of riders had gone down. Issues left and right had been thrown to Uber.
Honestly, before without the cash payment, riders accepted that Uber is a premium service. It is an alternative if you want to a convenience, presetable vehicle, and safe way to commute. Riders accept that when they use Uber they are willing to pay extra for the service.
When they think they can't afford the service they have the option to use the usual transpo without hearing anything. Now that there is a cash payment, 80% of the cash based rider had an issue with Uber, either the price isn't right or they have been ripped off by Uber and what always happen is they blame the drivers or operators.
This isn't really helping partners anymore. It' already being toxic.
Right now we are in talks with Uber. We are suggesting to either remove the cash payment and revert to card or have an option to the partners if they are willing to accept cash based ride.
We have reviewed everything and all claims and issues who filed reports with LTFRB are 80% cash based and 2% card based.
So partners, let us ask for your voice. Would you agree to remove the cash based payment and revert to te Card payment or at least have an option to accept cash? Let us know in the comment section below.
